Marisa VanSkiver | CEO
(Pronounced Mar-ē-sa)
Marisa started learning to code at 13 and has been working in marketing since graduating from high school at 18. She’s been a web developer, Reputation Manager, copywriter, social media manager, and digital ads strategist. She knows the digital marketing world because she’s been in almost every facet of it.
Marisa currently resides in Wichita, KS. A giant nerd, Marisa grew up borrowing and sneaking comic books from friends. You probably guessed, but she’s a huge Captain America stan (thus the years-old nickname, Captain Coder). She also loves teaching Digital Marketing at Wichita State and hiking when the Kansas weather cooperates.
Kalyn Johnson | Account Manager
The right hand to our team, Kalyn thrives on schedules and LOVES a good spreadsheet; organization is her jam. (Thank goodness for us!) At Captain Coder, she helps to keep everything in place, ensuring we have the details we need to keep things moving smoothly, and helps to manage incoming client communications.
When she isn’t working, she enjoys reading psychological thrillers, watching Survivor with her husband Jeremy, or playing taxi for her 5 kids.
Rachana Pal | Senior Web Developer
Rachana is a passionate Senior Web Developer with 9+ years of experience building responsive, user‑friendly WordPress websites, custom themes, plugins, and SEO‑optimized solutions. She hold a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, which strengthened her foundation in problem‑solving, clean architecture, and scalable development.
When not developing, Rachana is unwinding with nature walks and a cup of chai. She loves going on adventure trips with her husband, Deepak, and is a big fan of thriller, suspense, and killer‑mystery movies and series.
